Blogger Shout-Outs! #8 - September is Hot, Hot, Hot! Great Posts, Events, and Giveaways Galore!

You may have noticed I skipped last week. I had a terribly busy week so I just didn't get around to anyone's blog.  I know, ack! But I have decided not to freak out if I miss a week.  Shit happens, right?

So links may be for this week or last since I played catch up this week, and I added up all the comments on the blog from the last two weeks as well so if you have been commenting you get an automatic shout-out!

1. Kayla's review of Beyond the Pale, an anthology of urban fantasy stories, which she broke down to rate by story.

2. Bloggers Heart Books' review of A Whole New Crowd by Tijan.

3. AnnaSaurus Rex hilariously reviews another book, this time Narcoleptic Hooker.

4. As some of you know, I found out this year that I love, love drawing and painting and art journaling.  Well, Belle found a great book about art journaling and I am super excited and need to find it.

5. Sarah of Sarah's Book Shelves has me adding The Farm by Tom Rob Smith to my TBR List.

6. Aarti straight up rocked my world with her Science Book Review-itas.  Not nearly enough bloggers review science-y books!

1. I really liked Jeremy of Beltway Literature's post on Signs That Reading to Your Child at a Young Age is Working.

2. In case you've never caught it, Luanne of A Bookworm's World has a fantastic feature called Over the Counter, where she talks about books that catch her eye as she scans them out for library patrons.  I always enjoy reading these!

3. Michele of A Reader's Respite is my "sister from another mister", and she constantly proves this over and over, like in her post about the Art of Reading Purposefully.  This chick gets me, she really gets me!

4. I, of course, need to give a shout-out to April's post on Negative Reviewing, and not just because she references my BBI post, but because I agree with her point of view.  She's another blogger who really gets me.

5. Tif has so many good links in her Literary Link Love this week.  Check it out!

1. Tanya, SavvyWorkingGal, and I are running the Travel the World Readathon, which is happening NOW!  It runs through the 14th so you still have PLENTY of time to sign up.  BEST PART?  (Besides the giveaways, I mean) You can read a short story or an essay for it.  It doesn't have to be a ton of books, just what you can!  I hope you will join us!

2. And after you sign up for the Readathon, be sure to check out Aarti's Diversiverse which is coming for the second half of September!
