There's a First Time for Everything! Reading a Poem for My First Vlog

Today is my turn on the National Poetry Month Tour hosted by Serena @ Savvy Verse and Wit!

I am very excited to be a part of the tour.  For my part I made my very first vlog to share with you!  I am reading a poem by Maya Angelou, one of my favorite poets of all time.  This poem also has special meaning for me, as you will find out.

Also, I look crazy in the still because I am laughing, lol.

Be sure to check out all of the other incredible stops on the tour and leave me a comment below telling me who your favorite poet is!

  3. This is such a hopeful poem, and in light of the recent Boston Marathon bombings, very appropriate. Thanks for being on the tour. I think you did a great reading.

    1. I saw on FB you finally got it to work, yay! I was worried not everyone could see it.

Poe is one of my favorites, too! I memorized The Raven when I was in high school. I remember because my dad was super impressed, lol. Now I can't remember past the first paragraph! Nevermore, I guess? lol

  8. Becca,

That you can laugh while you're making a vlog is a great thing! It means you're having fun! You did a great job reading that poem. I've heard her read that before and you had the same emphasis and tone she did. You really understand that poem. I love her poetry but to understand it, I have to read it out loud. It needs to be heard. So I'm happy you did a vlog!
