NYE Readathon, Bee-yotch!

I am all kinds of excited about the NYE Readathon that @pickygirl, @heidenkind, and @mjmbecky have invited everyone to this year.  I was so not in the mood for partying it up this year- I wanted to chill.  So this is perfect.

I will be starting in T-1 hour and reading for most of the day tomorrow until midnight.  I do have to duck out for a few hours in the evening to meet my three best good friends for a home cooked dinner but then I will be back to bring in the New Year with a book in hand!  Nerdy but awesome all at the same time.  Cause that's how we roll.

If you too want to ring in 2o13 the nerdy and awesome way, please go sign up at Picky Girl's blog.  I will be updating this post throughout the event!

HOUR 1

Reading: Dualed by Elsie Chapman
Drinking: Lemonade
Eating: Nothing at the moment
Distracted by: Laundry needs to be folded/Twitter
Picture:

Cocoa helped me read by napping on my clothes.

HOUR 2
Reading: Dualed by Elsie Chapman
Drinking: Lemonade
Eating: Had a few Reese's Bells from my stocking- yum!
Distracted by: Twitter.  There were convos of toddler's climbing out of cribs with @BookaliciousPam, cute bubble tea cups and tea from davidstea.com with @chrisa511 and @whatsheread, I noticed my Twitter pic still had me with blonde hair so I changed that which sparked a convo about hair colors and taking solo pictures with @picky_girl, and, not to mention, Kim and Kanye's baby news.  I read like 10 pages.  I need to get with the program again!

Distractions galore.

Drinking: Apple Juice
Eating: Veggies & dip
Distracted by: Started to nod off but then I got to a good part in the book.  Then I got hungry.

HOUR 10
Reading: Finished Dualed

Sophia finally chills out.  I think she helped me finally fall asleep.

HOURS 11-15
I finally got some sleep!  In the middle of the day.  Not ideal, but at least I got something.

  1. Yea Becca! So glad you're joining in. I'm impressed you're starting so soon. I'll stay up until about 2 but HAVE to sleep. Otherwise, I'd be out all day tomorrow. I'm doing last-minute stuff around the house so I'll have no reason to do anything else tomorrow. :)

  2. Have plans tomorrow, but have to admit I's rather be doing a read-a-thon! Good luck, and have fun!

  3. Wow, you read a lot! I read like 20% in my current read, but I was pretty happy with that.

  5. NYE is the PERFECT time for a readathon. I wish I'd seen it! Of course, I didn't even make it to midnight so who am I kidding?

  6. LOL That's okay. It was a very laid-back readathon. We started at random times, came and went. Keep it in mind for next year! It was a lot of fun.
