What Do You Think?

What Do You Think?  is a new feature on Lost in Books.  Each week I will pose a question on a literary topic, quote, or the like.  Just share your opinions in the comments!

This week:

What, in your opinion, is a sub-genre of books that is missing or seriously lacking in literature?  What would you like to see someone write?  What would you like to see more of?

Last week's topic: Oscar Wilde Quote

  1. Hmmmm, very difficult question. I'd love to see historicals set in time periods & places other than Tudor England or Regency England. Fortunately there seems to be more variety lately, but I'd love to see medievals, pre-history, different countries, etc.

  2. I have to agree. There is a flood of Tudor books followed by ancient Rome/Greece/Egypt. Great and all but after awhile is hard to stay fresh. I hear Michelle Moran's next book will be set in India based on an Indian Queen!

  3. I'm a sucker for books that focus on strange year-long quests. I don't see enough of those around!

  4. You've read A.J. Jacobs' books, right?
