J. Kaye of J. Kaye's Books in starting a new challenge, the 2010 Young Adult Reading Challenge.

The rules are as follows:

1. Anyone can join. You don't need a blog to participate.

--Non-Bloggers: Post your list of books in the comment section of the wrap-up post. To learn how to sign up without having a blog, click here.

2. There are four levels:

--The Mini YA Reading Challenge – Read 12 Young Adult novels.

--Just My Size YA Reading Challenge – Read 25 Young Adult novels.

--Stepping It Up YA Reading Challenge – Read 50 Young Adult novels.

--Super Size Me YA Reading Challenge – Read 75 Young Adult novels.

3. Audio, eBooks, paper all count.

4. No need to list your books in advance. You may select books as you go. Even if you list them now, you can change the list if needed.

5. Challenge begins January 1st thru December, 2010.

6. When you sign up under Mr. Linky, put the direct link to your post where your Young Adult novels will be listed. Include the URL so that other viewers can find this fun challenge. If you’d prefer to put your list in the sidebar of your blog, please leave your viewers the link to the sign up page. Again, so viewers can join the challenge too.

So, as a newly converted YA reader (thanks mostly to My Friend Amy, I might add), I am signing up for the Just My Size level which is 25 Young Adult books for the year. I will keep track of all books read (reviewed or not) on this post. I will also keep track of my progress in my sidebar throughout the year.

1. Maximum Ride: School's Out--Forever by James Patterson (February)
2. Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports by James Patterson (February)
3. Hush: An Irish Princess' Tale by Donna Jo Napoli (March)
4. Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz (May)
5. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne (May)
6. Looking for Alaska by John Green (June)
7. Maximum Ride: The Final Warning by James Patterson (July)

9. She's So Dead To Us by Kieran Scott (August)

  1. Yippee! So glad you are joining this one too. Like I said, it's gonna be an awesome year.

  2. YAY! I'm doing this one too. I'm going to go for the super-size me version since I read YA almost exclusively at this point :)

Good luck, I can't wait to see your selections.
