The 48 Hour Book Challenge- #4

Well, it has been 26 hours since I started the challenge. What have I read so far?

-on page 149 of 175 of The Funny Thing Is...by Ellen DeGeneres

-on page 121 of 159 in Simple Taoism by C. Alexander and Annellen Simpkins

-finished part one in The Tale of Genji by Lady Murasaki

Now I am thinking of taking a little nap. A full belly and a warm cat lying next to me has made my eyes quite droopy. But I will be back...

How is it going for you?

  1. I'm not participating because it just didn't work for me this weekend but it sounds like you all are having a fun time. Full bellies and warm cats usually make sleeping that much better!! :)

  2. Reading death run by jack higgins, YA action, but not feeling it. Looking for something, not sure what. I'm 27 hrs in. Keep reading!

  3. I took a long break tonight for 'date night' but I'm hoping to get a couple more hours in before I fall asleep tonight. Happy reading.

  4. Hey well done. I am not participating but I managed to get through 1 book. I'll be moving on to Jim Butchers Turn Coat now.

  5. I'm not doing so hot on the challenge! I did okay yesterday (about 6 hours), but today I've been distracted by my online job, and by my mother (who I just flew in to see on Thursday...so who can blame me there). We went for a walk this morning, and I read while I walked, but then went to a movie and to the store with her this afternoon, so I'm looking at only about 2 hours today!!! Better get with it now and focus for the rest of the evening!

Enjoy your nap, and I'll check back later. :)

  6. Enjoy your nap! It sounds like you've been having a fun time with the challenge so far. The Funny Thing is sounds like a great read. And I've always wanted to tackle The Tale of the Genji but haven't felt like I was up to it yet (1000 plus pages, yikes! but then there's all that court intrigue ...). I'll be very interested to read about your impressions of it.
