The Quotes Book - Weddings

This week's topic is : WEDDINGS

Think about brides, traditions, ceremonies, wedding planning, anything to do with weddings. It does not have to have the word 'weddings' in the quotation as long as it is obvious it pertains to the topic.

And, as always, I will start the game by adding the first book quote:

"Gold bracelets covered the bride's arms, and on her hands were white chiffon gloves, her white dress billowing about her like giant wings. A red scarf covered her face, and the men led her slowly across the road." -The Virgin's Knot by Holly Payne (Genre: Fiction)

Remember you can add quotes to past topics at any time. There is no time limit on these!

  1. I selected a passage from Letters To A Young Poet for a reading in my wedding, and I couldn't help discussing it further. Here's my philosophy on marriage.

  3. I picked a passage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K Rowling which is in the fantasy genre.

  4. "The wedding of Mary Tudor and Charles Brandon was held four days later on French soil, a hurried affair in secret with just her ladies in attendance...and Francois, of course, unable to hide his delight that his rival's sister would not now be marrying a political enemy of France." Mademoiselle Boleyn by Robin Maxwell
